About me
Hello, I’m Marjan.
I originally trained as an agricultural engineer, but creativity has been with me all my life.
For me pyrography is not only art or creativity. It helps me find calm, understand myself better and deal with my emotions.
How it all started
I have always liked wood and the smell of wood. About eleven years ago I discovered pyrography and was immediately fascinated by it. It has stayed with me ever since and still gives me a lot of joy.
My father built my first burning tool out of a battery charger. I had no professional device back then, just a bent wire. But that is exactly what I started with.
From a bent wire to 3D wood art
Over time I developed further and my pictures kept getting better. Alongside classical pyrography I taught myself a lot and began combining burning with 3D elements. That gives my pictures more depth and makes them feel more alive to me.
Since January 2026 I have been working as a freelance artist. Alongside selling my pictures I offer various workshops and courses in Stuttgart and the surrounding area.

A finished pyrography picture is not simply a picture on wood for me. It is a piece of wood that has been given a new story through creativity.
